CiS Excellence Awards 2004
The inaugural CIS Excellence Awards took place on Thursday 6 May 2004 at the Glasgow Hilton. Over 300 guests from the Scottish catering, hospitality and tourism industries enjoyed a spectacular evening of champagne, first-class entertainment and superb food as the lucky winners were announced by glamorous hostess, Marie-Clair McManus of Scottish Television.
The ceremony was the first in Scotland to recognise and reward excellence and innovation, and the standard of talent was evident in the winning individuals and businesses who were presented with the specially designed solid-bronze trophies.

Sponsors, winners and guests were treated to a sumptuous four-course
meal prepared by Hilton Glasgow's Executive Chef, James Murphy, which
was
accompanied by specially selected wines provided by Inverarity Vaults
Ltd. Guests looked resplendent in the hotel's Grand Ballroom and towards
the end of the evening many got up onto the dance floor to waltz the night
away to Todd Gordon and his band.

All in all, the evening was a resounding success and the CIS founders would like to extend sincere thanks and gratitude to everyone who supported the first year of the CIS Excellence Awards; from the Awards Board and nominees to guests, winners and our principal sponsors and supporting sponsors.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
