yes thats right $2 gets you $980 of 14k 'real gold' and both myself and other have reported the fake gold scam from China to eBay that involves 100's of accounts and eBay have done nothing to close them down.

You get to keep the fake, palpal will refund your $2 and the scammer gets to keep the $19 postage all with the blessing of eBay it seems.

The reason i post here is because i've sent eBay several messages myself about this gang after i was asked to get involved and this cheeky little git puts an unpaid dispute in and the joke is the way eBay works he is likly to get away with it and yet i have dozens of messages from people that have been scammed to one degree or another by this gang.

eBay are also aware of this fake login page

for the past month and yet have done nothing about it as if everyone knows how domain names work and ebay.about.com is not owned by eBay.

You have all been warned and if you try to force eBay to stop these people then you risk being banned yourself but thats not stopping me because the truth is as plain as day & night an if you find you need help yourself then just google my name.

I am puzzled re two points.

What reason do PayPal give for not refunding the p&p?

Why do any buyers expect to receive real 14k gold for 2 USD? Or even for 2 USD plus part of 19 USD? If something appears to be too good to be true ... it almost always is too good to be true.
